Zer0Sum - Concrete Voices: The Mixtape
Concrete Voices is a limited-run cassette mixtape by Zer0Sum combining grime, hip hop, spoken word, poetry, and dark electronic production into a politically charged body of work exploring racism, police brutality, domestic abuse, sexual violence, poverty, and the weaponisation of fear.
Built around degraded tape aesthetics, distorted textures, aggressive drums, spoken testimony, and underground mixtape culture, the project draws influence from pirate radio, CRT-era media, DIY cassette distribution, and late-night urban environments.
The release contains five tracks:
Mrs Confidence Breath Against Concrete Weaponised Hate Unacceptable Rust Beneath The Glitter (Cassette Exclusive)
Each cassette is individually numbered by hand.
Limited to 20 physical copies.
Presented originally as part of the Blackpool & The Fylde College End-of-Year Show, Concrete Voices exists both as a music release and as part of a wider multimedia installation project combining reactive visuals, participatory sound design, and underground cassette culture.
